COMMISSIONS, SHOWS & EXHIBITIONS
41st ANNUAL TRANSPARENT WATERCOLOR SHOW
I had the pleasure of exhibiting at the 41st Annual Transparent Watercolor Society of America in 2017 at the Kenosha Public Museum in Kenosha, WI. Jean, a very accomplished Canadian portrait artist, taught me a new way of painting portraits. Below is our #4 grandson, Colton, age 3, the only grandson I had not painted. (Click images to enlarge)
"BREATHING IN THREE LAKES" - Book Illustrations
I'VE BEEN PUBLISHED!
"Breathing in Three Lakes" is a delightful soft cover book in poem which highlights the memories and characteristics of our Northern Wisconsin town of Three Lakes. It is the inspiration of Gary Williams, grandson of baseball great, Cy Williams, both long-time residents. Gary expresses all the reasons why residents and visitors LOVE and RETURN to Three Lakes. He asked me to illustrate his words, an honor for which I am truly grateful.
All the proceeds benefit the Three Lakes Community Foundation. The books are for sale in various Three Lakes businesses. If you want a signed copy please contact me. (Click images to enlarge)
AFFAIR OF THE ARTS
The Tenth Annual Affair of the Arts was held September 11, 2016 at the Reiter Center in Three Lakes, WI. 100 guests enjoyed a catered dinner and dancing to "Home Grown Tomatoes". For our special ten year event I recreated in chalk my theater abstract design. In addition to that I made a poster of all the past "Affair of the Arts". This fun fundraiser benefits the Three Lakes Center for the Arts. (Click on images to enlarge)
SIP AND PAINT
I had so much fun teaching another Paint and Sip at The Three Lakes Center for the Arts. All of the students did a great job painting a quintessential Northwoods scene. (Click on images to enlarge)
The next Paint and Sip is planned for August 17th. You can register at the Gallery.

I was commissioned to do paintings for a wedding "Save the Date" and for the wedding invitations:
The Three Lakes Center for the Arts hosts the "Affair of the Arts", a fundraising dinner dance each September. It has been my pleasure to auction off a custom painting to the highest bidder. Here are three, from 2011, 2012 and 2013:
